It looks like fans won't have to wait much longer to play the first part of the Pokemon Sword and Shield Expansion Pass, called The Isle of Armor. Thanks to a brand-new trailer, we now know that the first piece of Sword and Shield DLC will be coming to us later this month, on June 17. On top of all that, there is also a lot of new gameplay to be shown, along with a number of returning Pokemon that should make fans very happy.

After our first look at Galarian Slowbro, who now has the Cloyster on its arm instead of the tail, we are soon brought to Sword and Shield's Isle of Armor DLC. We see plenty of new places to explore, some familiar Pokemon to catch, and an extra story, which is always appreciated. There's also a special look at Gigantamax Venusaur and Blastoise, who look to come from a specific set of Bulbasaur and Squirtle in the game.

Most fans already know that the first Sword and Shield Expansion will focus on Kubfu, who players will receive early on in the expansion. Kubfu will evolve into Urshifu, who players can choose to be a water-type or dark-type so choose carefully and think about what kind of new monsters you'll need in your party.

We also get a look at the second part of Sword and Shield's Expansion Pass, known as The Crown Tundra. This looks to be a piece of DLC that's dedicated to finding legendary Pokemon, as we see players take on Dynamax versions of Mewtwo, Ho-Oh, and many more. There's also a neat bit where the Galar versions of Moltres, Zapdos, and Articuno are seen fighting.

Pokemon Sword and Shield's Expansion Pass is available now for $30, giving players access to both The Isle of Armor and The Crown Tundra. Isle of Armor will be available on June 17, while Crown Tundra has no release date yet, as of this writing.
