Pokemon Go Will Feature New Shiny Pokemon For Its Eggstravaganza Event

Pokemon Go is getting multiple new Shiny Pokemon for its Eggstravaganza event.

According to a data miner, 3D models for Shiny versions of Magby, Magmar, Wobbuffet, Togepi, and Togetic were added to Pokemon Go's servers last night. This could mean that Shiny versions of all five Pokemon creatures (as well as Wobuffet's pre-evolved form Wynaut) will be featured in the game this afternoon.

Shiny Pokemon always have sparkle effects but while some are easy to distinguish from their non-Shiny counterparts, others look so nearly-identical that it's hard to tell them apart from their non_Shiny versions.

The Eggstravaganza event is scheduled to start today (March 22) at 1 PM PT and will last until April 2. Players can retrieve special 2KM eggs from gyms and PokeStops that have Pokemon that usually hatch from 5KM and 10KM. Players can also get extra candy everytime they hatch an egg during the event.
