Pokemon Go Raid Requirements Detailed

Niantic Labs has just announced some pretty neat additions to Pokemon Go. For the most part, it involves a lot of changes in the Gyms and the introduction of Raid Battles.

While some Gyms are still under construction, others are already going live. But this is a good time to digest and see what exactly the developer is planning to introduce to the game. Niantic Labs has been very clear when it comes to the new features: it's planning to make the game a more cooperative one, where players can engage in battles that will also benefit them individually. This is what the Raid Battles in Gyms are all about.

However, for those who are interested in participating in them, you'll have to note that there are different tiers of difficulty which are equivalent to a Raid Boss level. This will allow strong players a chance to flex their capabilities while those who are in lower levels can still participate. Global Product Marketing Lead Archit Bhargava, Director of Software Ed Wu, and Senior Product Manager Tatsuo Nomuro told Express that these are the limits set for the game:

"We have different levels of that, we try to make it well-balanced for people working together. Maybe our very, very top-level trainers can take on the easiest ones by themselves, but you know, we want this to be a cooperative experience."

For the creators, the tiers are there to make the battle still hard, but also enjoyable when you play with friends. Another good thing is that whatever team you've joined won't really be a hindrance, as everyone regardless of teams can still play with each other.

We're still waiting for the Pokemon Go Raids to be opened to the public, though this may take time for the roll-out to be completed.
