Pokemon Go Just Passed 100 Million Installs


Pokemon Go players may be upset over the shutdown of third-party trackers like Pokevision, but Niantic's augmented reality game continues to spread virally. A new data from the App Store intelligence film App Annie shows that Pokemon Go passed 100 million installs worldwide this weekend. That's up from the 75 million downloads toward the en of July.

As Apple reported, the app earned the most downloads on the App Store durin a launch week ever, and the game had previously reached 50 million Android downloads in just 19 days.

According to App Annie, Pokemon Go grossed over $10 million in daily revenues.

App Annie also points out that despite Pokemon Go users' repeat usage and lengthy playing sessions, the game didn't have a meaningful impact on the daily revenues of other games on either Google Play or iOS. Top-grossing games like Candy Crush Saga, Clash of Clans, and Mobile Strike have also not seen meaningful declines in venue following Pokemon Go's release.
