Play Mortal Kombat XL is Coming to PC, Play the Free Open Beta Weekend

It looks like NetherRealm Studios Creative Head Ed Boon wasn't kidding.

Previously, he held an unofficial poll over his Twitter account. When almost 50% of over 10,000 fans have voted to see Mortal Kombat XL on the PC, Boon recognized the fans' voices saying that the team hears their request.

And now, the studio has announced a free play weekend where fans can download Mortal Kombat XL Enhanced Online Beta on Steam for the next four days. It's a free-to-play experience, so fans can just go to the official link here and download the game.

"We've been taking feedback from the MKX community, and appreciate your patience as we test the enhanced online multiplayer and XL content that PC players like yourselves have been waiting for."

Boon had also emphasized in his tweet that they are looking for fan feedback to help them improve the game. Following download, the developer has also stated that the team will be sending an invitation to the Beta survey, where fans can roll out their feedback for the game.

The open beta will end on Aug. 29, 10:00 a.m. PDT, so make sure to download and play while you have the chance.

Mortal Kombat XL is currently available on the PS4 and Xbox One. Considering that the beta is just being held now, the developer has yet to give a more concrete date when it will be released for PC. Hopefully, however, this version will not be similar to the PC port that Mortal Kombat X had received previously.
