Patrick Stewart Confirms His Wolverine 3 Appearance

X-Men veteran actor Patrick Stewart has confirmed that he'll be reprising his Professor X role for The Wolverine 3.

After months of speculation, Stewart took to Twitter to share the news of his return as the elder Professor X, calling it the "worse kept secret."

The Wolverine 3 will be the final movie for Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, and it was confirmed to be rated-R, and producer SImon Kinberg recently explained why.

The untitled Wolverine film recently begun filming and it's scheduled to hit theaters on March 3, 2017. Dircted by James Mangold, the film stars Boyd Holbrook, Stephen Merchant, Richard E. Grant and Eriq La Salle.

Last week, it was also reported that Professor X will be appearing in Josh Boone's New Mutants film.

Hugh Jackman's Wolverine is expected to appear in Bryan Singer's X-Men: Apocalypse, which will hit theaters on May 27.
