In episode four, Orient introduced another character named Tsugumi. The series did not thoroughly explain her purpose but her tragic past was revealed which added personality to her character. What made her interesting so far is that she was controlled by her master who was also linked to the whole bushi clan.
The journey of Musashi and Kojirou officially started in this episode. They were even locked up after they asked a trivial matter. Through their journey, the two lead characters start to learn more about the world they have not explored. The episode also has a post-credit scene that showed the training of Musashi.

Orient Episode 5 Release Date
Episode five of Orient will be released on February 3, 2022.
The episode, entitled, “Choosing Tomorrow”, will be available on TV Tokyo and AT-X. Those residing in Southeast Asia and South Asia can stream the episodes on Medialink. Meanwhile, those from outside of Asia can watch the episodes on Crunchyroll.
The streaming giant acquired the series for western audiences. It also has a free trial period for those who are new to the site. This will give them a chance to watch Orient and other anime for free. But if they wish to watch the series without ads and simulcast one hour after Japan, they will have to register on the site.
Membership costs $9.99 per month or $59.99 per year. Aside from the mentioned features, viewers can also watch their preferred series offline and access the site’s manga and anime libraries.
The episodes have English subtitles for western audiences. Those who prefer to watch with English dub will have to wait for Crunchyroll’s official announcement if a dubbed version will be made or not.
Orient centers on Musashi, a 15-year-old boy who wanted to become a samurai. The story takes place during the Sengoku period when Japan was ruled by demons. Samurai were categorized as taboo so Musashi had to blend into society as a miner. Eventually, he and his friend decided to go on a journey to defeat these demons and restore peace in society.
