New Stargirl Trailer Features the JSA and S.T.R.I.P.E.

If you're a JSA fan and want to see more of them outside of the comics, the latest Stargirl trailer is for you. While the series does reek of The CW, its effects are better than usual and we get to see a live-action version of the Justice Society of America. That probably shouldn't be too surprising since the character is linked heavily to the group, especially towards the end of the New 52, but this is still a nice development.

Fans of the original Stargirl will also be happy to see S.T.R.I.P.E., who is briefly seen powering up. The robot was a mainstay in the series Stargirl first became popular on, Stars and S.T.R.I.P.E., and it will be interesting to see how these two get along in the show. Oh, we also get to see the JSA members meet Stargirl, which is all sorts of interesting.

Of course, what really got the attention of fans was the photo in the trailer that features the "old" JSA in this universe. It looks a lot like that one Alex Ross cover of JSA, which might have been intentional, and even has characters most of us didn't expect, like the Jay Garrick version of The Flash and Hawkman, along with more obscure heroes like The Outsider and Doctor Fate. Just cool stuff all around.

Stargirl will be coming to the DC Universe streaming service this Spring. It will then air on The CW a day after, so everyone wins.
