Star Wars: The Last Jedi is fast approaching its release date and Lucasfilm's been busy adding to the excitement over the highly anticipated Star Wars sequel trilogy installment by rolling out new posters and trailers for the upcoming film during the past few weeks.

One of the most recent promotional releases is a brand new video showing Luke (Mark Hamill) struggling to keep Rey (Daisy Ridley) from falling to temptation in The Last Jedi. Though the TV spot shows more or less the same footage from the official trailer for The Force Awakens sequel, it does have a few new clips adding to the whole bit where the Jakku orphan talks about the Light and the Darkness.

In the new TV spot, fans get to hear about Rey talk about "something else," something calling out to Rey, and with Kylo Ren's (Adam Driver) outstretched hand, fans get to see Luke desperately trying to tell Rey to resist the temptation of whatever's calling out to her.

Could this "something else" be the Dark Side? Could it be Kylo Ren? Or Could it be the Gray Side of the Force?

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Ridley talked about Rey finding an unexpected ally in Kylo Ren, though it's largely uncertain whether this connection will lead her down a darker path. Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and Leia Organa's (Carrie Fisher) wayward son is a complex character, and while he may be a villain, there just might be redemption for him yet.

Let's just wait and see.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits cinemas December 15, 2017.
