New Men In Black International Promo Pokes Fun At Game Of Thrones Coffee Cup

Although Game of Thrones has already dealt with that coffee cup that showed up in the recent episode of the final season, people are simply refusing to forget that it actually existed in the first place. Interestingly, the new promo for Men In Black: International appears to have the perfect solution: Erase everyone's memories.

The new ad was shared by the official Men In Black Twitter account and it clearly pokes fun at Game of Thrones' cup-shaped mistake. Watch the video below.

Think it doesn't really refer to Game of Thrones? Well, the promo itself has a message that says otherwise. It briefly focuses on a coffee cup in the scene where Chris Hemsworth's Agent H faces an alien. The line reads, "GoT a mistake you want to forget?" If that's not an obvious reference to an errant latte that found its way into the halls of Winterfell, we don't know what is.

Fans had previously spotted the cup in Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 4 in the scene where Jon Snow is being praised by Tormund Giantsbane and the other wildlings with Daenerys Targaryen looks on. Screenshots of the scene were shared on social media and immediately went viral. Although it was initially believed that the cup was from Starbucks, it has since been confirmed that it was from a different coffee shop.

The episode has since been edited so that the cup no longer appears yet people continue to make fun of how it ended up in the scene in the first place. Perhaps HBO will need to call the Men in Black to do something about it.

Game of Thrones Season 8 airs every Sunday nights on HBO. Men In Black International will hit theaters on June 14.
