New Finding Dory Images: First Look At Dory's Friends

Pixar has released a new image from the studio's upcoming animated film Finding Dory.

Set six months after the end of the first film, Finding Nemo, Finding Dory follows the story of the the forgetful blue tang (voiced again by Ellen DeGeneres) on a mission to search for her long-lost parents. Along the way, she visits a marine life rehabilitation center, where she meetse meets Bailey, a snub-nosed beluga whale voiced by Modern Family's Ty Burrell, who introduces her to Destiny, a.k.a. Sweet Dee, a whale shark voiced by Kaitlin Olson.

"My character isn't great at his own sonar capability, and Destiny has trouble swimming straight," Burrell explains. The two new characters seen in the concept art above play an important role in reuniting Dory with her loved ones.

"My character isn't great at his own sonar capability, and Destiny has trouble swimming straight," Burrell told Entertainment Weekly.

"I'm a lot nicer in this movie than I am in my television show," says Olson. "You don't really see Sweet Dee being sweet, ever. This character is. It was a lot of fun to play that and be vulnerable."

Finding Dory will be released in theaters on June 17, 2016.
