New Fantastic Beasts 2 Images Showcase Dumbledore, Newt, and the Mirror of Erised

October is here, which means the release of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is barely a month away. Some new images of Dumbledore (Jude Law) and Newt (Eddie Redmayne) have come out and they also give us some unique insights into the Mirror of Erised.

Check out these images from Empire Online:

We don't know what Dumbledore is looking at the mirror for, but based on the latest trailer, he actually sees Grindelwald when he looks into it. Law told Empire about the character, "Jo [Rowling] told me that in some ways Dumbledore thinks of himself as a beast because of things he's done in the past and he knows therefore that Newt [as a beast-lover] will forgive him."

This is no doubt a reference to Dumbledore's duel with Grindelwald that ended with little Ariana Dumbledore dead. No doubt as the series expands, we may even get a look at the lesser-known Dumbledore brother, Aberforth.

There's also this other image of Law and Redmayne talking with director David Yates. At first, I thought they were in a station that was filled with Knight Buses (from Azkaban), but the buses are just vintage Routemaster ones.

Crimes of Grindelwald is coming out to be one of the most anticipated films of the year and Potter fans can't wait to get another expansion of J.K. Rowling's Wizarding World.

Catch Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald when it hits theaters Nov. 16.
