New Fan Theory Suggests A “Poetic” Death For Cersei In Game of Thrones Season 8

Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) might be what Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) calls one of the most murderous women in Westeros, however it seems like everyone believes that the savage and overly protective Protector of the Realm won't last long in the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones.

The prophecy by Maggy, the woods witch and fortune teller living in the woods near Casterly Rock has already predicted death for Cersei after the death of her three children, and everyone's just waiting for the "valonqar" to do away with the queen.

"Three [children] for you. Gold shall be their crowns and gold their shrouds. And when your tears have drowned you, the valonqar shall wrap his hands about your pale white throat and choke the life from you."

However, while most fans believe that valonqar (which is Valyrian for "Little brother") might refer to Tyrion or Cersei's younger twin, Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau),a new fan theory predicts that Cersei might actually die from child birth.

Season 7 revealed that Cersei was pregnant with her fourth child, causing problems for Maggy's prophecy. However, what if the "little brother" was a male child in Cersei? And what if bringing the child out into the world would cause death for both Cersei and her baby? According to Reddit User CashWho, that would definitely "wonderful poetic justice" for Tyrion.

However, like every other unconfirmed Game of Thrones theory, this new bit of speculation has to be taken with a grain of salt. Who knows, Cersei might end up lasting throughout the entire series.

Game of Thrones season 8 premieres sometime 2018 or 2019.
