Cyberpunk is really making a comeback. WithBlade Runner 2andGhost in the Shellmovies currently on production, and CD Projekt discussing their ambition for Cyberpuk 2077, the near future is going to experience fascinating futures with these titles. But before those titles come out, Square Enix and Eidos Montreal are bringing us a cool Cyberpunk role-playing action game set in the Deus Ex universe, and a new trailer has just been released for it. The trailer shows the high-tech dystopican world of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, where the augmented humans —such as the protagonist Adam Jansen — are now considered dangers to society.
The six-minute trailer introduces us to the game's cyberpunk future, and it looks like the kind of game that will offer social commentary and reflect the common issues America faces today. There seems to be a villain in all fronts, even the ones whom Jansen works for. He will have to do a lot of investigation, and so far, I'm enjoying the atmosphere that this trailer brings, and the music ramps up the hype for this game.
