New Batman Fan Art Depicts The Punisher Star Ben Barnes As Bruce Wayne And People Can't Get Enough

The recent announcement that Ben Affleck is stepping down as the Caped Crusader from Matt Reeves' The Batman has been met with hope as people began wondering who could take over after Batffleck. Could it be The Punisher actor Ben Barnes? A new fan art certainly looks convincing and fans can't get enough of it.

The fan art was created by Bosslogic and was immediately shared by Barnes himself on Twitter. Take a look at the tweet below.

"Such an honor to have the supremely talented & creative @Bosslogic include you in any of the digital comic magic he weaves," Barnes wrote, adding the hashtags #Punisher, #Batman, and #Whatever. "Very cool," he concluded.

It didn't take long before people saw the fan art and agreed with the whole idea.

Barnes certainly seems like an ideal candidate to take over as Bruce Wayne. He has already proven that he looks good in a suit and is capable of intense action sequences in the two seasons of The Punisher. If Barnes does take over, he could be the second British actor to play the Dark Knight, next to Christian Bale.

Plans for The Batman are still unclear although it has been reported that Warner Bros. is looking for a younger actor to take on the lead role. In addition to Barnes, names like Armie Hammer, Jon Hamm, Michael B. Jordan, and Jake Gyllenhaal have been mentioned as well. Hopefully, the new Batman will be announced before the end of the year.
