Netflix Castlevania Anime Series Gets Its First Trailer

The internet went wild when word got around the Netflix was working on releasing a Castlevania animated series this year.

Konami's classic dark fantasy-themed action-adventure videogame franchise has quite the following, and many were ecstatic to hear the news that Netflix was making a series telling the story of "the last surviving member of the disgraced Belmont clan, trying to save Eastern Europe from extinction at the hand of Vlad Dracula Tepe himself."

Now, Netflix finally has a trailer for the very first season of Castlevania. Debuting over at Netflix's Latina channel, fans get to see pretty anime-esque art over English dubs and Spanish subs. But that's not all! The trailer also gives out the official release date of the series: July 7, 2017.

Short but sweet, the trailer gives fans a glimpse of what to expect from the upcoming series. It's pretty cool how Netflix's Castlevania has art that reminds one of anime from the late 90's or early 2000's.

Here's the synopsis of the series:

Inspired by the classic video game series, Castlevania is a dark medieval fantasy following the last surviving member of the disgraced Belmont clan, trying to save Eastern Europe from extinction at the hand of Vlad Dracula Tepe himself. The animated series is from Frederator Studios, a Wow! Unlimited Media company, written by best-selling author and comic book icon Warren Ellis and executive produced by Warren Ellis, Kevin Kolde, Fred Seibert and Adi Shankar.
