Matt Reeves Provides Update For The Batman

It seems like news has gone quiet for Matt Reeves' solo Batman movie, but it looks like he's progressing steadily when it comes to the film. The Planet of the Apes director gives us a small update on the movie.

In an interview with The Q&A Podcast, Reeves says:

"…I am outlining; I have the story worked out and I am outlining."

It's not the biggest update, but at least we know where he is when it comes to the creative process. Originally supposed to be directed by Ben Affleck, The Batman has been having a few shake-ups when it comes to development, and when Reeves came onboard, he decided to scrap Affleck's story in order to come up with his own.

With Justice League underperforming upon release, Warner Bros seems to be taking more careful steps when it comes to molding the future of the DCEU. Just recently, they had appointed producer Walter Hamada to take the reins of the franchise and steer it to the right direction. Hopefully things will move along more smoothly now that Hamada is in charge.

As of now, the only DCEU film set for a release this year is Aquaman, but hopefully we get an announcement on the release of The Batman sometime soon.

The world can only be told so many times that Ben Affleck is done/not done with playing Batman.
