Marvel Legacy #1 will be coming out in a few months, featuring the debut of the 1 million BC Avengers and the start of more stories to come. To celebrate the 50-page one-shot, Marvel have decided to release a teaser video with commentary from the editors of the company. While not much new is stated, it should get fans excited for the start of a new era.
Aside from the 50-page one-shot, certain comic books will be going back to their old numbers to celebrate the legacy of that series. Dan Slott's current run of Amazing Spider-Man for example, will go to it's old numbering of #789, while Thor makes a jump to #700. "Every story is an event," according to the video, so it will be interesting to see how these comics embrace their Legacy branding.
Classic characters will supposedly return, though no official details have been given on who they are. The "real" Steve Rogers returned during Secret Empire #10, donning his classic Captain America outfit to the excitement of fans. It also seems like Jane Foster will give her mantle back to the original Thor, which could be very tragic for fans.
Fans can pick up Marvel Legacy #1 on September 27. Both the regular cover and the lenticular cover are being done by Joe Quesada.
