Marvel is Reportedly Ending Tony Stark: Iron Man this December

Thanks to the MCU, Iron Man has become one of Marvel's biggest characters, with pretty much everyone around the world knowing who he is these days. Iron Man comics have also been a constant presence for fans, so it's actually rather shocking to know that the current series, Tony Stark: Iron Man, will be ending earlier than most of us expected with Tony Stark: Iron Man #19, which will be coming out this December.

ComicBook.com revealed there's actually no particular reason given to why the series will be ending with issue #19, though it's worth noting that Dan Slott has been teasing a showdown between Tony Stark and Iron Man 2020, who is his long-lost brother Arno Stark. Considering how Dan Slott is one of Marvel's bigger writers, it seems likely that the series is going to be relaunched with a shiny new #1 in 2020.

We could also get an Iron Man 2020 event that leads to a brand-new Iron Man #1 but we're gonna have to wait for more information.

Jim Zub had been writing the series along with Dan Slott but left with Tony Stark: Iron Man #16 so it looks like Christos Gage will be helping Slott out. Gage and Slott have worked together in the past, with issues of Mighty Avengers and Amazing Spider-Man, among others.

I haven't read the series yet but reviews for Tony Stark: Iron Man have been pretty positive, so I'll probably check out its collected edition. The fact that artist Valerio Schiti has been drawing most of the series means most people should be checking this comic book out.

Tony Stark: Iron Man #19 will be coming out in December.
