Marvel Fans Petitioning For Black Panther TV Series

Black Panther's definitely made a huge impact on Hollywood's comic book movie industry. Not only is the film experiencing overwhelming commercial success, it's also receiving a lot of great reviews from both fans and critics who enjoy seeing so much diversity and representation in T'Challa's first standalone movie.

Now, as the film continues its second week screening in cinemas in the US, fans have started petitioning for a Black Panther series for the small screen.

A petition for a Black Panther TV series is catching attention on Change.Org. Made by Eric Hamilton, the petition reminds fans of the Black Panther movie's success, going on to say that fans want to see more of Wakanda.

"Telling the back story of Wakanda would be a game changer. How did Wakanda become the most technologically advanced country on Earth? From the technology to the artistry coupled with the rich African traditions, the fans demand more," the Marvel fan wrote on the petition description. "The Black Panther fanbase would love to see a Wakanda Series on Netflix. This series would expand the depth of the Marvel universe and we feel Marvel/Disney would enjoy creating and adapting these stories as much as we would love watching them."

A Black Panther TV series would probably enjoy success like the film, and now the petition has close to 4,300 signatures to back it up. Fans have also posted their pitches about their various ideas for a Black Panther series on the petition page, and many are hoping that Netflix hears them out.
