Marvel Announces 'Doc Justice and the J-Team' AKA 'The Next Great Superhero Team'

Marvel Comics is home to some of the greatest superhero groups out there: The Avengers, X-Men, Fantastic Four, Defenders, and so much more. However, the company is claiming that this new group of heroes will be "The Next Great Superhero Team," which is obviously a big red herring. Still, one can't help but be intrigued when they see that their next big comic is called, get ready for it, Doc Justice and the J-Team.

A new superhero comic book set for 2019, it's not yet known who exactly Doc Justice is and how this group will be making their appearance. Interestingly enough, as can be seen below, Marvel is comparing this group to The Avengers, Defenders, and Thunderbolts. Having these superhero groups in the chart make for an interesting comparison since they are all groups of disparate heroes who have to band together.

Could we be getting something similar for Doc Justice and the J-Team?

Right now, it's too early to tell if they will be getting their own comic, guest star in another hero's series, or even headline the next big Marvel event. We don't even know what these heroes will look like, though the cheesy title does hint at something more dastardly and/or comedic down the line. We'll have to wait and see but color us intrigued.

Also worth noting that collectors could have a field day with this since new characters in comics usually raise the alarm in heads of comic book collectors. On that side note, I'd better tell my comic book retailer about this…

More news on Marvel's Doc Justice and the J-Team will presumably be released soon.
