Mark Ruffalo Describes Avengers 4 Reshoots And Calls The Movie A “Living Organism”

Avengers 4 is currently in the middle of its reshoots, and while working on the film, Hulk star Mark Ruffalo reveals just how dynamic the production is.

Speaking with Peter Melnick and Eddie Wilson on The Marvelists: The MCU podcast about the second and final chapter in the Russo Brother's two-part Avengers movie, Ruffalo elaborates on the reshoots for Avengers 4. Not only does the actor give out a few details about the reshooting process, he also calls them a necessity for a movie that feels so much like a "living organism." According to Ruffalo, the script of the Infinity War sequel is just constantly evolving – so much so that he questions where the film is going to lead him.

"I don't even know that they really know exactly," Ruffalo told Melnick and Wilson during the interview "Some of it [the story] is happening while we're there. It's pretty amazing. And we'll shoot some stuff and a few days later come back and reshoot it cause we wanna take it in another direction. It's a very living organism, even as we approach it being a locked picture, we're still working on it."

That's not all. Ruffalo also reveals that the studio has still been giving them dummy scripts – a method they've used during the production of Infinity War before.

Marvel tries its best to keep spoilers from making its way online, so these shifting scenes in the Avengers 4 reshoots don't come off too much of a surprise. After all, Marvel does need to protect the movie from spoiler-spouting stars like Tom Holland and occasional, Ruffalo himself. The studio can't be too lenient with its secrets, especially for a film as big as Avengers 4.

Avengers 4 hits cinemas May 3, 2019.
