Mark Hamill Talks About his Affinity for Muppets

Anyone who follows Mark Hamill outside of his work on Star Wars will know that the guy loves doing voices. Hamill also has a strong affinity for Jim Henson's Muppets and he's taken to Twitter to share his thoughts on the world's most famous puppets.

We know that Hamill had worked with Muppet veteran Frank Oz in Empire Strikes Back, but some fans will also remember that Hamill guest-starred in the actual Muppet Show showing off his voice acting skills—even fooling around dressed as Luke Skywalker.

Though Hamill never got to be a bigger part of the Muppets, he did make his mark in the world of voice acting, giving life to several characters including Joker from Batman the Animated Series and Firelord Ozai in Avatar: The Last Airbender (just to name a few).

For now, fans are hoping that Hamill gets to come back as a Force ghost in Star Wars Episode IX, but Hamill has said that his return will depend entirely on director J.J. Abrams. With Carrie Fisher gone and Han Solo officially dead, Hamill could very well fit the bill of returning legacy character.

Star Wars Episode IX comes out Dec. 20, 2019.
