Mark Hamill Asked Prince William And Harry Whether Luke Skywalker Could Be Royalty

It seems like Mark Hamill has a very old question for the British Royals.

According to the Star Wars legend, it's an old question that's been bothering him "since Return of the Jedi," a question about Luke Skywalker's royalty. Hamill wanted to know whether Luke could actually be considered a lost prince with his mother being Queen Amidala, his father being Lord Vader and his sister Princess Amidala.

Speaking during a press conference in London (via Yahoo! Movies), Hamill opened up about how he decided to take the opportunity to ask the Royals about the likelihood of Luke being a prince when Prince Harry and Prince William visited the set of The Last Jedi earlier this year.

"I used that opportunity when I met the princes to try to solve something that had been bothering me since Return Of The Jedi," Hamill told reporters at the Press Conference."When they told me Carrie and I were brother and sister I said, ‘Wait a minute, if Luke is Princess Leia's brother, doesn't that make me royalty? And she immediately said no."

"But when I met the princes I said, ‘I really want your opinion on this'" Hamill went on. "I said, ‘My mother was Queen Amidala, my father was Lord Vader, my sister is Princess Leia, doesn't that make me royalty?'"

However, it seems like the Star Wars legend didn't get have the answer that he wanted.

"Unfortunately it was a split decision because William said yes and Harry said ‘I need more information', so I said ‘Darn it. I need the ammunition to rub it in Carrie's nose! It's been going on for 40 years!'"

Guess Hamill's just going to have to wait a bit more so he can settle the odds with Carrie. Though, it would be nice to let Carrie win the game now that she's gone.

We can't wait to see Carrie and Hamill's performance as Leia and Luke in Star Wars: The Last Jedi tomorrow, December 15, 2017.
