Over the weekend, the Magic: the Gathering commentator Noxious had to eat a $40 Teferi after losing a bet that Glogowski would win the Mythic Invitational.
As we all know, Piotr Glogowski fought valiantly in the final of the Mythic Invitational against Andrea Mengucci. Glogowski lost both the first and the second matches against Mengucci, giving Mengucci the win. If you are a fan of Noxious then you already knew he was going to be watching and commentating the Mythic Invitational, and like anyone following the tournament, have a favorite. Noxious was betting that Glogowski would at least win the first match. He was so confident that he said he would eat a Teferi if Mengucci won. And he got to taste that sweet, sweet Planeswalker.

Teferi, Hero of Dominaria is not a cheap, couple cent card. Depending on the version that Noxious decided to surrender to his digestive system, he could have been eating anywhere from $40 to $90! Some speculated that Noxious's meal cost around $70! If you ask me, I would want to be more full after eating $70. You should at least be able to get some dessert for that kind of money. Plus Noxious didn't seem to be enjoying it that much, saying, "Most expensive, shi***est meal, I've ever had…"
I hope he wasn't expecting Teferi to taste good. I mean Teferi himself may be an excellent chef after being alive for so long, but old cardboard tends to taste like...well, old cardboard. And old things tend to be not very edible. But at least as far as we know, Noxious is alive and well and has not been punished by any sort of Magic gods for sacrilege. He's here to commentate another day and entertain us in his videos. Next time he may want to put a little less on the line and bet some sort of common land. At least, he wouldn't be paying as much for such a meager meal.
