Love After World Domination Episode 1: First Impressions
Based on a shonen manga of the same name, Love After World Domination follows the unlikely love story of Fudo Aikawa, a member of the hero squadron "Gelato 5," who work on world peace; and Desumi Magahara, who works for the evil organization "Gecko." As can be expected, the two are sworn enemies - but only when they're being watched.
Episode 1 begins in the middle of the action - or rather inaction, as Fudo and Desumi are already on a date, and on the verge of talking about their deep feelings for each other. But how did the sworn enemies end up there? This is what the first episode sets out to explore, in hilariously over-the-top ways.
It's a bit early to reach definitive conclusions about the anime but, so far, Love After World Domination seems like a fun romance. By establishing the relationship between the two main characters so early on, it moves beyond the enemies to lovers trope, instead giving us a story about two characters who are already both enemies and lovers - how will they navigate this?
