Lionsgate Might Make Seven Power Rangers Movies

Lionsgate has big plans for the Power Rangers franchise; the new rebooted film won't be released until next March, but the studio is already considering on making sequels for the franchise.

In a recent conference call with analysts, Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer said that they might make up to seven Power Rangers films. Here's what he said:

"We are really, really excited about the ‘Power Rangers' movie. We could see doing five or six or seven."

Fans seem to like what they've released about the film so far. We've already seen the slick new look of the Power Rangers, Elizabeth Banks' Rita Replulsa, as well as set videos with Rita and the Red Ranger in action. Power Rangers has a huge fan base, so if the first movie becomes a success, --and most-likely will-- of course, they're going to make sequels.

Dean Israelite is direcitng the film, and the Power Rangers team incudes actors Dacre Montgomery (A Few Less Men) as Jason the Red Ranger, RJ Cyler (Me and Earl and the Dying Girl) as Billy the Blue Ranger, Naomi Scott (The 33) as Kimberly the Pink Ranger, Becky G (Empire) as Trini the Yellow Ranger, and Ludi Lin (Monster Hunt) as Zack the Black Ranger.
