Legendary Pokemon, 1v1 Battling And Other Pokemon GO Updates Confirmed By Niantic's CEO

Niantic has just reportedly confirmed the release of Legendary Pokemon, one versus one Pokemon battling, Pokemon with special moves, and other cool new updates for Pokemon Go.

Apparently the company's CEO John Hanke spoke about the game's future at undisclosed highschool yesterday and the details of these comments were outlined by a Reddit user on the Silph Road. Though Niantic has not yet commented on the information, the accuracy of the Redditor's account has been confirmed by the Silph Road's chief moderator.

From gym tweaks to Legendaries, here is an outline of the updates that Hanke reportedly spoke of:

-Improved gym battles

-the release of Legendary Pokemon "in the not so distant future"

-One on one battles with other players "very soon"

-The appearance of Pokemon with "special moves." Though Hanke didn't name Delibird and Smeargle on the onset of the discussion, the CEO did confirm the two Pokemon after they were named as a sample.

If proven true, these updates would definitely delight Pokemon Go gamers to no end and bring back a few who have strayed from the game after Niantic failed to provide substantial updates. Gamers have always been waiting for 1 vs. 1 battles and Legendaries and to hear that the developer is finally preparing these things for fans is nothing but short of exciting.
