Legendary Comic Author Calls Out DC Universe's Titans For Not Having Creator Credits

DC Universe's Titans show is meant to be the cornerstone for the streaming service but the odd first trailer had many wondering if the series would be a mess, especially with the super edgy "f%*k Batman" line. The second trailer was a bit of an improvement but it's the first episode that got fans talking, with some admitting that it was better than expected while others claim that it's hot garbage.

Legendary comic writer Gerry Conway was enraged by the first episode and not because of its quality but the fact that it didn't bother crediting Marv Wolfman and George Perez; the creators of most of the show's characters.

Conway really let DC have it on Twitter, wondering why Wolfman and Perez can't get credits while six different producers can. Jerry Ordway, another longtime comic creator, thinks this might have something to do with Geoff Johns no longer being in charge of DC's film entertainment. Either way, it's a sucky situation, and no one can blame the two for being mad about this.

When you consider how most of the Marvel and DC movies have credited creators, this is an especially baffling move. Even the Marvel shows that appear in Netflix and ABC, as well as the DC Shows in CW, have credited the original comic creators. Some fans might not care about this but it does make you wonder why people should try making new characters if they won't get any credit for it.

Titans is now showing in the DC Universe app. The second episode comes out later this week.
