Latest Dragon Ball Super Episode Pays Tribute To Bulma's Late Voice Actress

Dragon Ball fans were devastated when they found out that Hiromi Tsuru, the Japanese voice of Bulma, passed away at the age of 57. She had voiced the character since the very first episode of Dragon Ball, so this was particularly hard-hitting for those that had been following the anime since it's inception. This week's episode of Dragon Ball Super had a touching message for the late voice actress and fans might want to get their tissues ready.

The translation (via Kotaku) reads:

Hiromi Tsuru, who voiced the Dragon Ball character Bulma for many years, has passed away.

From children to adults, Tsuru gave many people courage and happiness, and from the bottom of our hearts, we pray that she may rest in peace.

As stated earlier, Bulma has been around since the very first episode of Dragon Ball. Even when the show leaned towards a more action-oriented focus with the sequel series Dragon Ball Z, the character remained an important part of the cast, often building inventions that could help the team out.

Bulma hasn't appeared in an episode of Dragon Ball Super since episode 96, due to the leads taking part in the Universal Survival arc. Her last words as the character are as follows: "Everyone do your best, I'm counting on you all." Tsuru was also able to record her lines as Bulma for the upcoming fighting game Dragon Ball FighterZ.
