Square Enix has released the first cinematic trailer for Shadow of the Tomb Raider and it looks really cool. The third game in the current Tomb Raider series that was rebooted in 2013, it will be coming out later this year and everyone is hoping it will build on the strengths of Rise of the Tomb Raider.
The trailer shows us what the past two games have done to Lara Croft, making her a well-oiled killing machine. She easily takes down a number of armed soldiers by herself and does so in a really awesome sequence. It will be interesting to see if players can do this in the game as well, which is probably the case.
At the end of the trailer, Lara is wondering what kind of monster she is turning to. Considering how she easily killed armed soldiers by herself, it's clear that Lara isn't the struggling survivor she once was in the first game.
No real story details were given since there was barely any context about Lara's mission in the video, aside from her saving a person. She will probably raid some tombs but aside from that, not much of anything has been revealed about the game's plots.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider comes out on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on September 14.
