Kevin Smith Asks Mark Hamill For A Bacta Tank And Medical Droid

It looks like Clerks director and comic book writer Kevin Smith is hoping that Star Wars legend Mark Hamill saves him Bacta tank after surviving what might have been a fatal heart attack last week.

The whole affair began after Smith sent out a tweet about the Disney Channel sending him cookies in the shape of Mickey Mouse which were jokingly made out to Kevin James. In his post, Smith explained that the Disney Channel team often mistake him for the actor and Hamill responded to the tweet, saying that he himself often gets mistaken for other stars.

As a consolation, the Star Wars legend offered Smith a basket full of William Castle's classic B-movies. Though Smith seemed pretty happy about the Get Well Basket, he also hoped that he could nab a medical droid and a Bacta tank too.

"It'll all help me mend my big red one just in time to enjoy the Corvette summer!" Smith explained in his tweet.

Lucasfilm might not have an actual working Bacta tank, but Smith's request is a pretty cute one. The filmmaker's always been a big fan of the Star Wars franchise, and fans all know that asking for a Bacta tank and medical droid not only nod to his health, but to Hamill's career. Remember how Luke was being treated in a Bacta tank and a surgical droid in Empire Strikes Back after the Wampa attack on Hoth? Kevin Smith sure does.

Hamill's latest Star Wars film, The Last Jedi, is getting its Digital HD release on March 13. The film is also getting its Blu-Ray and DVD release on March 27.
