Justice League: Arthur Curry Intimidates In New Promo Art For Aquaman

Though Aquaman has been considered the wimp of the Justice League for years, the DCEU is looking to remedy that by casting barbarian king Khal Drogo a.k.a. Jason Momoa as the future ruler of Atlantis. With the movie coming out in less than a month, we got some new promo art of Momoa in character as Aquaman.

Check it out:

Momoa himself has confirmed that though Aquaman considers himself a force for good, he is a bit of a social recluse in the movie, and he apparently ‘hates' Atlanteans. With himself being half human (Atlantean mother, human father), I imagine the people of Atlantis had cast him out of their society. I'm going to make a guess and say that the Aquaman solo movie will consist of Arthur trying to earn his right on the seat of the Atlantean throne.

Interestingly enough, Temuera Morrison, who plays Aquaman's father Thomas Curry, had also played father to another sea-faring hero of Maori decent—Disney's Moana. He also played father to Star Wars' Boba Fett; it's not related, but Boba's still pretty cool.

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman's selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Justice League comes out Nov. 17.
