John Krasinski is Interested in Directing a Marvel Movie After A Quiet Place: Part II

While most fans would like John Krasinski to play a superhero character, specifically Mister Fantastic, it looks like The Office alum is up to directing a Marvel movie as well.

When the sequel for A Quiet Place gets released, the actor will be heading right into filming for the third season of Jack Ryan. However, after that, Krasinski will be taking a break. He won't be taking a break completely though, instead, he'll be doing this to find the next thing he's going to write and direct. While he's intrigued to find more stories within the A Quiet Place universe, he's interested to do something new too. "If a Marvel movie came along, maybe, or I'm just looking for great stories and great characters really," he told Esquire.

Of course, the actor was asked as well on the possibility of him playing the role of Mister Fantastic in a Fantastic Four movie. "I was just about to walk into the worst pun ever, but I was like, that's a fantastic role. That would be awesome," Krasinski said. "Marvel wrote the playbook on secrecy and awesome sort of tantalizing lay and wait until everything's announced."

Krasinski clarified that he is "not committed to the role or anything" and he doesn't even know when Marvel will be doing it. However, if the studio will go through with making a Fantastic Four movie, he says he "would love" to talk to Marvel about it.

In a previous interview, Krasinski revealed that he would "love" to be in the Marvel universe because they're "fun" and "really well done." If Marvel is indeed considering him to play the said character, he hopes that they continue to do so because he would certainly "love" it.
