Joe Hill Praises Upcoming Locke and Key Pilot Episode

Locke and Key might be the best comic that IDW ever launched. A horror comic with a ton of heart and good art from Gabriel Rodriguez, the series turned writer Joe Hill into an even bigger star than he already was. This is why it was unsurprising to hear that the comic was going to be adapted into a television, before being canceled by Fox and then revived as a Hulu series.

While the wait has been long, series' writer Joe Hill has gone to Twitter and praised the pilot episode.

Hill's tweet was filled with praise for the pilot and Andy Muschietti, the director of the Hulu series. The writer felt that Muschietti nailed the comic's tone completely and wants to say more but is "forbidden" to do so. This is fine when you consider that he is part of the show's writing staff, which can result in skeptics calling him biased.

Locke and Key will follow three siblings who, after the gruesome murder of their father, move to their ancestral home in Maine with their mother Nina (O'Connor) only to find the house has magical keys that give them a vast array of powers and abilities. Little do they know, a devious demon also wants the keys, and will stop at nothing to attain them.

No release date for the series has been revealed.
