Jared Leto Debuts Beardless Look Ahead Of Morbius Production Start

It looks like Jared Leto is ready to play a comic book bloodsucker. The Academy Award winner has just shared a photo showing off his new look for the Sony film Morbius The Living Vampire.

Leto shared the image on his official Instagram account. Although it doesn't offer any details about the highly anticipated comic book movie, the Blade Runner 2049 star did add scissors icons to his post. Take a look at the picture below.

We're not sure if Michael Morbius will be sporting long brown hair in the film just yet. The caption might be teasing that Leto is getting ready for a haircut before Morbius begins production early next year.

There are speculations that Leto has already started filming for the movie. This was kickstarted when the 30 Seconds to Mars frontman posted a video where he hilariously shaves his beard and teases on Morbius' arrival.

In related news, the Sony film already has an interesting working title. The movie will begin production under the title Plasma, which is a clever reference to the character's vampiric identity.

Morbius is only the second movie that will focus on a Spider-Man villain. It is a follow-up to Tom Hardy's Venom, which did well in the box office. Although there have been speculations that Eddie Brock will have an appearance in the film, fans believe that Morbius will be a standalone flick with no references to Venom or Spider-Man.

Morbius The Living Vampire has not yet been given an official release date. However, the movie is expected to hit theaters in 2020.
