Rivals of Ixalan, the next Magic: The Gathering set, will be available in just a few weeks, and some fans can't wait to find out what will happen to Vraska, Jace, the Immortal Sun, and the rest of the tribes and characters in the upcoming chapters. Now, Redditor Captain Kharn recently shared a look at the Ixalan art book which features elder dinosaurs, Kumena, and an awesome owl phoenix.
Warning: Major spoilers ahead
The pictures also reveal story details about how Jace recovers his memories as well as what happens between him and Vraska. We learn that the guardian of the Immortal Sun is the mighty sphinx Azor. It's revealed that Tezzeret somehow incorporated the technology of the Planar Bridge into his body, which would allow transportation of "unliving matter from one plane to another." It's speculated that Nicol Bolas will use this technology to transport his army of undead to Dominaria. The worst part of this chapter is when Jace returns to the rest of the Gatewatch. That seemed too soon, and a lot of fans have expressed how tired they are seeing the Gatewatch together again. Thankfully, Dominaria will focus more on other legendary planeswalkers, as revealed in the first-ever art for the upcoming set.
