It's Luke and Leia vs. Jabba in New Episode of Star Wars: Galaxy of Adventures

Lucasfilm has a lot of great new Star Wars expanded universe material from comics to TV shows, and one neat webseries they have is Star Wars: Galaxy of Adventures where they take scenes from the films and give them an anime twist. The latest one is a scene taken out of Return of the Jedi where Luke and his friends face off against Jabba the Hutt.

While the show has covered some stuff from the prequels, mostly it’s the original trilogy stuff that gets episodes—most likely because it’s those scenes that could do with a lot of polishing. There have been teases for sequel trilogy material, but I’m guessing they’re saving those up to help promote the release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

For now, rumor has it that our full trailer for TROS will be arriving in SDCC 2019 this July. It’s a good release window for a film coming out in December, and we could get our final trailer come November or October.

Let’s also not forget that Disney+ is coming out in November, and Lucasfilm has to build up hype for the release of Jon Favreau’s The Mandalorian—the first ever live-action Star Wars series. Let’s hope that it’s able to rival the quality of the films because rumors have also been going around that the Solo sequel as well as the Obi-Wan spinoff are going to find their way into TV instead.

Catch Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker in theaters Dec. 20.
