Internet Mocks Spider-Man: Homecoming’s Terrible New Poster


A lot of Marvel fans may have been pretty wowed by the studio's final trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming, however it seems like netizens aren't that impressed by the film's new poster.

Rolled out along with the release of the film's last full trailer, fans get to see a slew of Spider-Man: Homecoming characters on the upcoming feature film's poster. Behind Tom Holland in his Spidey Suit is Peter Parker, Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark and Michael Keaton's Adrion Toomes. There's a wee little bit of Keaton's Vulture at the rightmost portion flying amidst a ridiculous splash of embers and Iron Man zooming past this aesthetic mess at the very bottom.

The poster's a pretty busy piece of art and fans aren't taking to it too kindly. Not only has the promotional image sparked a lot of negative comments online, it's also prompted a photoshop fest. Check out people's reaction down here:

While Marvel does have to seriously rethink the aesthetic's of Spider-Man: Homecoming's new poster, we really have to commend the internet's creativity. Photoshop threads are hilarious.

Here's the official synopsis of the movie:

Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, young Peter Parker (Tom Holland) returns home to live with his Aunt May. Under the watchful eye of mentor Tony Stark, Parker starts to embrace his newfound identity as Spider-Man. He also tries to return to his normal daily routine -- distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just a friendly neighborhood superhero. Peter must soon put his powers to the test when the evil Vulture emerges to threaten everything that he holds dear.

Spider-Man: Homecoming comes swinging into cinemas on July 7, 2017.
