May is here, which means that NetherRealm's Injustice 2 is only a few more days away. Though he hasn't been seen in any of the previous trailers, the Joker has finally been unveiled with a new introduction trailer, and he looks, well… different.
It seems that the designers were trying to find a good hybrid between the classic Joker and the one that was introduced in Suicide Squad. He's wearing the trademark trench coat, but underneath that, he's shirtless and has "HA" painted (or possibly tattooed) on his body.
The character looks just as crazy as ever, but I don't remember ever seeing Joker with that emo-looking hair. Like I said, he looks like an emo David Tennant.
As far as moves go, they're still pretty violent and crazy. Besides using the knife, the Joker still uses some of his signature traps as well as a crowbar. His special move has him tying his enemy down on an electric chair with a load of dynamite under the seat.
Personally, I think that this is a whole new take on the Joker, but I have no idea how the fanboys will react to it. I'm not really going crazy over it, but that's just my opinion.
Injustice 2 comes out for PS4 and Xbox One on May 16.
