Injustice 2 is hitting the high notes with the introduction of Black Canary into the roster. Apart from Supergirl and Wonder Woman, we now have some insane girl power, and I love the bonus that Black Canary is a martial artist at its finest.
NetherRealm Studios has released a new gameplay trailer as an IGN First exclusive. Here, we get to see the her in action, with the Canary Cry taking center stage, because it's something we obviously can't ignore.
In the video, seen below, Black Canary goes into the arena to face off the likes of Blue Beetle and Deadshot. We see both her prowess in martial arts, as well as her explosive screech attack. it' s a combo of deadly sonic attacks and punches, sure to keep the opponent on the ground.
Black Canary also has her own page in the website for her character info. It recounts how Dinah Lance almost sacrificed everything in the fight against Superman, but now that Batman is coming to bring back order, she's vowed to never run away again and be silenced.
If that's not enough, the Injustice 2 website has also confirmed two more characters. There's Poison Ivy whose goal is to make the world safer for plants. Then there's Bane, who wants to make his rule as law after being kicked around by the Regime and Batman.
Injustice 2 will be out on May 16.
