Isekai shows are almost taking over the industry with a lot of stories following a character that reincarnated somewhere else and there’s a new series about to arrive but this time, it is set to be the next big anime romantic comedy hit: I'm the Villainess, So I'm Taming the Final Boss coming this fall.
Villains are now becoming the stars of their own show like My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! Now, another show is about to follow the same footsteps with I'm the Villainess, So I'm Taming the Final Boss and given the current line-up of the fall anime season, it would be no surprise if this show will take over the charts and be the next romcom isekai hit.
I'm the Villainess, So I'm Taming the Final Boss is based on the pages of the light novels of the same name by Sarasa Nagase which was first published in Shōsetsuka ni Narō in 2017 before being released as a light novel in Kadokawa Shoten.
Aileen Lauren d’Autriche gets reincarnated as a villainess but she still has memories of her past life where she was dumped by her fiance for the lead of the game. Being the villain of the otome game, Aileen plots her biggest move: make the final boss, the cursed demon king Claude Jean Ellmer, fall in love with her.

This is where it gets interesting: Aileen is not shy of her true intentions to Claude because she only wants to marry him without even having romantic feelings for him which is why it may be a very awkward relationship for them and possibly, in the end, it may turn into a real one because that’s really not far from happening, right?
Aileen is not one to mess with in the first place because she will definitely serve anything straight to your face and she is willing to do the dirty work so she would succeed. This means that the romantic comedy series will not be following the slow burn romance track and it is expected to be a hilarious one as she convinces Claude, a more reserved character, to marry her.
With their polar opposite characteristics, I'm the Villainess, So I'm Taming the Final Boss is definitely set to be one of the best romantic comedy isekai anime shows to grace the small screens.
