In I'm Standing on a Million Lives Season 2 Episode 8, Journey of Death, Yotsuya realized that there was a strange man who attacked his friends which were controlled by wireworms, a parasite going after the brains of the victim and the only way to kill it is to kill the person in control. If not, it will lead to an epidemic.

The man turned out to be Jezby's father but they have to accept the fact that he has to die and have the body burned to prevent further spread. They went through the Zagroth secret tunnel system and they heard the villagers say that Jezby has been attacked by monsters slowly getting stronger each day. With the crop production going down, the village chief mandated that the older adults leave to look for a village to transfer to.

The father of Jezby and a young man, Dan, went to look for a new home for the villagers, however, upon learning that she would be losing her father, Jezby went with him and left her mother and brother at home. Upon reaching the village, Yotsuya and Glenda met with the chief to make him understand what kind of mission they are on because such would destroy a lot of families.

However, the village chief tricked the heroes and put them both in prison. He went to the house of Jezby to punish her because she left the village without being granted so. Upon meeting the heroes, the chief promised to help them see their friends, but he left his men to imprison Jezby and when they had to come back to the mansion, the rope of the bridge was cut and when they were left hanging, they saw monsters in the sea waiting to devour them.
