Marvel Studios has just dropped the very first few photos for its upcoming Captain Marvel standalone and fans have been pretty busy picking at pictures, trying to see whether the images give them any clues as to what might happen in Avengers 4.
While the fanbase has been busy scrutinizing the new release, it looks like one fan has solved the mystery of the Infinity War sequel on Twitter. Posting on the social media platform, the Marvel fan going by the name Bucko (a possible reference to Sebastian Stan's Bucky) decided to spell out a solution to Thanos' dusty finger-snapping massacre in Avengers 4 – and that solution involves a whole lot of Brie Larson's Captain Marvel.
It's a pretty straightforward answer. Captain Marvel takes the gauntlet from Thanos (Carol Danvers is considered the greatest Avenger for a reason), reverses time, and then defeats the Mad Titan right before he can snap his finger and obliterate half of the living population of the Universe.
There. No need for the quantum realm, no need for secret Time Stones. All we really need is Captain Marvel.
Of course, undoing Thanos' massacre won't be that easy – after all, the Russo Brothers are going to have to give fans an even wilder ride in Avengers 4 than they did with Infinity War.
