Henry Cavill’s Superman Reportedly Set for Black Adam 2 Together with The Rock

Yesterday, DC Extended Universe star Henry Cavill declared his intention to stay on as DC's Man of Steel, saying that he hasn't given up on the role just yet. Now, word on the street says that the Superman star may very well appear in Black Adam 2 together with Black Adam himself, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

According to a new post by film reviewer Grace Rudolph, though she's heard that Superman won't be appearing in Black Adam 2, The Rock wants Black Adam to face the Man of Steel, and the actor wants Cavill for the role.

Rudolph takes note that Dany represents Cavill, referring to Dany Garcia, the former wife, manager, business partner, and co-founder of Johnson's Seven Bucks Productions company. Together with Johnson, Dany produced DC's successful Shazam!

According to a report by Cosmic Book News, Cavill was supposed to make an appearance in Shazam! however, the cameo didn't really happen because Dany Garcia tried her best to play hardball with Warner Brothers to get the Man of Steel star signed on to a new contract.

Though Cavill says that he's staying on as the DC Extended Universe's Superman, we're not really quite sure what kind of future the franchise has for Supes. The future of the franchise has been a bit questionable ever since Justice League flopped at the box office.

Luckily, it seems like Johnson is super interested in having Black Adam fight together with Superman – the actor has teased a confrontation between the characters on social media multiple times now. Let's just see whether that really happens.

DC's latest release, Joker, is currently screening in cinemas.
