HBO Max Confirms 2 Green Lanterns and Sinestro to Appear in New DC Series

HBO has a brand new Green Lantern series in mind, according to a new report, the project is going to feature two different Green Lantern members as well as the villain Sinestro.

HBO Max Originals Head Sarah Aubrey just recently attended the Television Critics Association press tour (via Heroic Hollywood), and during the event, the television executive gave fans a few clues about what to expect from the upcoming Green Lantern series.

According to the HBO Max Originals head (via Comic Book Review), the new DC series is going to "span several decades and focus on the origin of two major Green Lanterns on Earth."

For those who aren't familiar with the Green Lantern Corps in DC comics, there have been a number of Green Lanterns on Earth-like Hall Jordan, Guy Gardner, John Stewart, Simon Baz, Kyle Rayner, and Jessica Cruz. Honorable mentions include Allan Scott, Jade, Tai Pham, and Sojourner "Jo" Mullein.

HBO Max could choose any of these Green Lanterns for focus in the series – though we bet that the show would focus on either Hall Jordan or John Stewart, some of the most iconic members of the Green Lantern Corp in Earth's history.

But that's not all. The Green Lantern project is also going to include the villain Sinestro. Apparently, the Yellow Lantern Corps villain is going to appear in the show and right now HBO is in the "early stages of talking to him about."

Right now we're not quite sure what role Sinestro is going to play in the upcoming series, but we have a feeling that it's not going to be good.

Green Lantern has yet to receive a release date. We'll update everyone as soon as we get word.
