Haunting Of Hill House Season 2 Adds Another Familiar Face And More

It certainly took some time but the follow-up to The Haunting of Hill House is finally on a roll with major casting news. After confirming that Henry Thomas and Katie Siegel will be reuniting with Victoria Pedretti and Oliver Jackson-Cohen, creator Mike Flanagan has confirmed the return of yet another familiar face in The Haunting of Bly Manor.

Flanagan confirmed on Twitter that Catherine Parker will be back in the Haunting of Hill House sequel. Parker has previously turned in a memorable performance in the Netflix series as the ghost of Poppy Hill who convinced Olivia Crain to poison her twin children.

While Parker is someone who had previously worked with Flanagan, the Doctor Sleep director also confirmed that Haunting of Bly Manor will feature some new faces. The latest cast additions are iZombie actor Rahul Kohli, T'Nia Miller of Years and Years, and Enterprice actress Amelia Eve. Flanagan also confirmed that young actors Benjamin Ainsworth and Amelie Smith will play the children who end up living in Bly Manor.

The Haunting of Bly Manor is based on the novella The Turn of the Screw by Henry James that follows a governess (Pedretti) watching over two children (Ainsworth and Smith) at a remote estate. The governess soon becomes convinced that the gigantic house might be haunted.

The Haunting of Bly Manor has not yet been given an official release date. However, it is expected to premiere on Netflix in 2020.
