Just recently we got some set images of Alden Ehrenreich dressed up as Han Solo, but now we have a video of a sequence being shot with Han racing a "podcar."
According to Making Star Wars, the location is set at the Fawley Power Station, and there's some sort of race track on set that could very much stand-in for a drag race of some sort. One of the correspondents was also lucky enough to talk to a local, and he says:
"Finally made it out to Fawley. Nothing shaking but just spoke to a lady walking her dog…she saw some sort of battle filming plus they were filming some sort of ‘drag race' with ‘odd looking vehicles'."
I don't know where the site got the word "podcar," but it could very well harken to The Phantom Menace and Podracing. Just like podracers, set photos have the podcars in different shapes and sizes; you could think that this was a set for a Death Race sequel or a futuristic Mad Max.
I'm pretty excited to see this movie come to life. Han has such a rich backstory in legends, and it would be a treat to watch it all unfold on the big screen -- give us the Kessell Run!
Some fans are thinking that Disney will decide to release some official images because of these leaks, but time will tell when they think the audience is ready for a first teaser.
