Guardians of the Galaxy 3 Script May Undergo Major Tweak After Avengers: Endgame

Avengers: Endgame was a major success for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Not only did the film enjoy a wave of overwhelmingly positive reviews from fans and critics, but it also managed to beat Avatar to become the highest grossing movie of all time in Hollywood history. Of course, Endgame's success has raised the bar for Marvel, and it looks like the movie's triumph is leading to a few changes in the development of a few upcoming films, like Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

Speaking in an interview with ComicBook.com, James Gunn's brother and Guardians of the Galaxy star Sean Gun reveals that he feels like the script for Guardians 3 may very well go through another major tweak before Marvel begins working on the movie.

"I know, you know...I think my brother may do...he may do another pass, in which case I would read that version," the Guardians star admits, revealing that he has yet to read the final script of GOTG 3.

Of course, this shouldn't really come as a surprise to Marvel fans. James Gunn isn't set to work on GOTG 3 until he finishes directing the DC Extended Universe's sequel to Suicide Squad, so there's still a lot of time for the director to tweak and refine his script for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Besides, the film doesn't even have a release date yet, though we do suspect that Marvel is setting the film for release during Phase 5 of the MCU.

Avengers: Endgame is currently available on Digital HD, Blu-Ray, and DVD.
