Giancarlo Esposito Teases Potential Star Wars Return in The Mandalorian and Grogu

Giancarlo Esposito recently teased his potential return as Moff Gideon in The Mandalorian and Grogu.

Earlier this year, Lucasfilm announced that Din Djarin and Grogu's big-screen project will be the next Star Wars movie and production is set to take place later this year.

There have been questions from fans regarding whether the other characters in the series will also appear in the film such as the villainous Moff Gideon, who has met his demise in the third season finale.

Giancarlo Esposito Addresses Potential The Mandalorian and Grogu Appearance

In a recent chat with GQ, Esposito addressed his potential return as Moff Gideon in The Mandalorian and Grogu.

While he claimed that he had not received a call yet from Lucasfilm, he expressed his desire to reprise the role due to his love for the character.

"I love the Star Wars universe. I don't have any plans because they haven't called me. [I] love Moff Gideon because you have something I want," he said.

Esposito also shared his idea on how the character can be resurrected since he supposedly has met his demise.

He teased, "Come on. I came back to the third season [of The Mandalorian]. I didn't have a mustache. Then you see all these clones. Put it together."

Based on his comments, it sounds like Esposito is really eager to reprise the role again and is open to appearing in the film if Jon Favreau wants him to return.

However, it does pose a lot of questions regarding the character's potential resurrection and it might open up some issues for fans who would feel that there is no finality in his fate.
